Tag Time fpr PaperHaus magazine

Hello everyone! Hope the start to the year has been great for all. Lisa here with a tag I made for my DT at PaperHaus Magazine. I have to say that when I start them I never know where I am going to end up.

First I started with some Maja design papers Which you can find in my store, The Shabby Horse Cafe and cut out the base of the tag. Then I start cutting smaller pieces for layers. Once I have the layers I am happy with I distress, ink and mist each individual layer. After that I arrange them where I like and glue them down slightly. Then if it looks kinda empty I will find a mask I like and gesso a pattern on it.

Then start looking at my stash and decide what I should use. In this case I used Prima and Petaloo flowers, some leaves I made, some chipboard clock hands, hand dyed seam binding and the beaded thingy is one of those wine glass markers I found at a thrift store.


I cut out a title I liked and wala I was done!! I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for visiting!!!

Handmade Halo DT work

Handmade Halo DT project

Hello all!!! I have here today a project we made for a DT challenge at Handmade Halo . There are so many unique products Corinne has to choose from! the challenge was be whimsical and  to alter a resin piece so I used my alcohol inks and paint on the rose. Then since I had the inks out I decided to paint the peacock also. I LOVE that peacock charm. You can find that in the store also. We were also suppose to use another handmade item from another so I took one of my handmade lace flowers and cut it in half to accent the rose.

I also inked and did a resist embossing for the background. I used the summer colored Tim Holtz inks. As always thank you for stopping by.

Funtoolas July kit still going!!!

Hello out there!! Just a quick drop off this beautiful and scorching Sunday........... I have made a card and a tag with the leftovers from my Funtoolas July kit. The colors were, are, so amazing and really work well with each other.

I am doing a quick drop off. Life has been quite busy lately. I really do enjoy making tags and these I made for a class I teach.

Another tag!!

Well another tag!! I do love to make the tags. This one was made for a vintage/retro challenge over at sb.com. We were to make 2 tags if we wanted. I need to get the other one made...taking a break to make a few Valentines Day cards. I used paint, lace, pearls, prima flowers and ink on this. I got the image off the internet.

So not to much done over the weekend. To many chores to keep up on. We have a storm coming next week and needed to get ready for that. Thank you so much for visiting. I do appreciate it!! Bye for now....Lisa
