A simple card...

For a change I made a card finally. Still working a lot so not to much time to devote to scrapping. One day I will be able to once again craft!!! This is a card I made for someone special....for her birthday.

WOW!! Hello!!!!!!!!!!! It has been forever since I have been here....I have been working a lot and I do miss the time I use to have to scrap. I diddled here and there and have done a few cards so I thought I would post them even if it is only me reading this. I miss blogging!
The first card was made for a friend to give to her friend. It felt good to create again.

Anyway that is all I have!! Hehehehehe......I barely have time for the few "likes" on facebook I do. Well if anyone reads this I hope all is well with you and yours! I miss scrapping with all of you.

PaperHaus 12 Days of Christmas

Hello and welcome. Here is my inspiration for the 12 Days of Christmas for the blog hop at PaperHaus. Come on and join the fun. I used my Funtoolas December kit for this card.  I did tearing for the back ground, then just added gesso to give it that snowy feeling. I didn't use any ink on this one and that was very hard to do. For the flower I used the flowers that came in my Funtoolas kit, tore them apart and dipped them in my melting pot to give them the glassy look and added some glossy accents in the center and added gold beads. I did emboss the Merry Christmas. Well that is it and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Funtoolas Kit, November

Hello and welcome. Here are my DT projects for this beautiful Funtoolas November kit called. This kit is so full of beautiful papers and embellies I just loved working with it.
Here is a photo of my girl when she was a pup in her first snow. She still holds up her front leg like that to this day! So pop on over to Funtoolas and check out the kit. We also have some wonderful challenges going on also and even a swap!!! I made this for 3 challenges, 1 the OUAS challenge, sb.com pet challenge, and sb.com girls, girls, girls challenge.

I used a lot of gesso to give the page a snowy feel.

A close up of my flower cluster. I did use a couple of flowers from my own stash.

I made the rosette using the rosette die from Tim Holtz and the buttons were perfectly matched for this kit and I added a little gesso to them also.

Here is the gorgeous Prima bling that was in the kit. I did cut it in half to use the other side on the bottom side of the cluster.
My second project I made a thank you card to have on hand. Can never have to many of those!!!

I used some mists and ink and again some gesso. The flower is from the kit and it started out white but I wanted to match the card...You sure won't be disappointed with this kit, lots of ways to create your own beautiful projects!!! Thank you so much for stopping by, I truly appreciate it!!

PaperHaus Halloween

Hello there and welcome. Here is a DT project I made for PaperHaus  I used some older papers by Jenni Bowlin for this.

After the first layer I put some Tattered Angels "Pumpkin Spice" in with my gesso and dipped some bubble wrap in it and stamped. The next layer I added some shiny orange organza ribbon just for a little sheen. I then added a chipboard branch I painted black, then a layer of some lighter purplish paper which I added some Tim Holtz rock candy crackle paint to.

The cheese cloth is dyed black The fence is from Martha Stewart. The resin frame is from Handmade Halo. I made the flower using the tattered floral die. The leaves are made form the tattered leaves die which I then added molding paste colored with peeled paint reinker and scribed a leaf pattern into.

Card for a friend

Hello all....I made this card for a friends daughter.. I used Websters Pages on it. I have never worked with WP so found it to be interesting and a little challenging. I see Gabriella using them all the time and she makes them look easy to work with!! Anyway thank you for looking and have a wonderful weekend.

Birthday card.

My baby turned 19!!! I can't believe it. Seems like yesterday my kids were little and now I have grandkids!!! Well I used the Vintage Faye kit from Swirlydoo's for this card. There were some scraps left over from a lo I did so this is what I did with them. Thanks so much for your visit and have a great week!!!!

The Color Room Card!!

Hello friends!!! First....I have a brand new grand daughter.!!! She was born on the 4th. I do not like to posts pics of my grandkids but you will see her in upcoming layouts!!! She is just precious and I just love her!!!
Ok this is my first attempt at trying the palette over at The Color Room and the sketch also. I loved trying the colors cuz I think I get into a rut of using the same colors. So I do like to change it up a bit and try different things. Well have a great week!!!

Hello and happy weekend!!! Just dropping off some cards I made this week. I seem to be on a card kick plus I like to keep my scraps down. I just got rid of some scraps that I had for years. Baby Shower card

Hello...here is a card I made for my DIL for her baby shower. My new dgd will make her debut on Aug. 4th!!!! I am so excited to meet her. I used up some of my scraps and the butterfly is from the Swirlydoo butterfly collection. LisaG always has butterflies for us that match the kit every month...soo cool!!! Well that is it for now. Vintage Cards

Pages in Time Sketch card

Hello and hope all is well!! I made this for a sketch challenge over at Pages In Time. You should come over and play along. We have some really talented ladies on the DT team and I am lucky to work with them!! This card consists of a scarf I found at the thrift store, thread, pearls and mulberry paper. The big flower is the scarf. I just cut different size petals and glued them together. I love the shabby chic look and that is what I was going for. So I do have some new stuff to enter so my blog will be busy this week. As always I appreciate who ever stops by. Hope you enjoy the week.

A card I made for a dear friend who is not feeling very well. I hope this puts a smile on her face for a second or two. I actually have not seen her since we were 13 years old but we have stayed in contact over the years and I am going to visit her next June.
