Sweet Baby

Hello!! Here is a layout I did for the RR challenge at Flying Unicorn this month. There was so many that signed up for this and we have had great fun in the thread!!! I always try and follow who I am suppose to but always end up in a different place!!
A sweet pic of my dgd. This is how she is most of the time. Just chillin" and taking everything in. The pram chippy is from 3tailscraft (and yes you can find them in my webstore . On the chippie I painted with acrylics and it turned out very loud so I toned it down with some Picket Fence distress stain.

These are handmade dreyer sheet flowers and the fold here has some itsy bitsy tucked into it. Complete with glitter!
Punched out butterfly that I stamped and inked, handmade flower and a Bobunny trinket. Bird image was stamped and embossed and painted with acrylics.
Some more handmade flowers and leaves to finish it up. Thank you for taking a peek. Means a lot to me!! Have a wonderful week!

Tattered Leaves My first tutorial

Hello and welcome to my first tutorial. Bear with me. I was playing around with the Tim Holtz tattered leaves and happened to come up with something that looks similar to a real leaf. Now someone else could have done this all ready but I have not seen it and if it is all ready out there I am sorry. SO this is what you will end up with when we are done.
Ok here are the supplies you will need.

I am sure any leaf die or hand cut leaves will work. I started out with just plain white card stock and cut out some leaves. I used different shades of greens from Glimmer mists and distress stains. SO first spray leaves with water and then the mists. Then if there are empty spaces use the stains to fill in.
While they are still wet I used the Forest Moss stain to darken the edges to give some depth as you see in the picture below.
After you stain the edges spray with water to where they are sopping wet. If you need to move them I use a small spatula to scoop them up. Then put inked side down and start pinching the vein that runs up the leaf being careful not to rip them.
Now you can curve it a little to make it more realistic.
Form it to your satisfaction.
Then start forming the little veins that reach out to the end of the leaf. This takes a little practice and care but the end result is worth it. Do this on both sides and sometimes the long vein wants to undo itself but just keep working it.
When all is done you will have something that looks like this.
Now let it dry completely then turn it over and you will have a leaf!!!
Here is the finished product.  Thanks so much!!!
I am up for any help with making tutorials. Please let me know how I can make this better. Here is a layout I made for my scrap class using my leaves.
And some close ups.
Thank you for looking!!!!!

His Girlz!!

Just a quick drop off!!! Here is a layout I did of my son's family. Used lots of different products and used it for a couple of challenges. I didn't make the bling or the bird nest so everything else is hand made. Natasha was the inspiration for the lacing. I love doing that on a page. Thanks for stopping by....have a great rest of the week!!!

Friends!

Good morning peoples!! Hope you all are having a fab start to the week!! I am sharing a layout I made of my horse and I on New Years Day! Yep spending time with him keeps my sane!!
I used Riddersholm and some Imaginations papers on this. The buggy chippy, which I absolutely love, came from 3tailscraft.

I finally tried my hand at putting lacing on the page!! Natasha was the inspiration for this. Thanks girl!! It was actually really fun to do this.

A close up of my handmade flowers. I found some of that netting in my stash. Amazing what you find when you move a couple of things!!!

I absolutely LOVE this buggy from 3tailscraft!!! It was fun to work with. I did use flower soft for the seat but I am not happy how that turned out! I also sell 3tailscraft chipboard in my webstore. Go have a peek.

ANd for the final touch I used a piece of DA chicken wire. Added some gesso and silver stickles and walla I was done!! Thanks so much for taking a peek!!! Have a wonderful week!

Tags

Hello! Hope the new year is starting off good for everyone. I made a couple of tags for different challenges. First I made one for the Tag Your It challenge over at Flying Unicorn
We had to lift an item from the tag posted before ours.
I used lace for the item lifted. I also used molding paste on a butterfly and I embossed part of the back ground and used a few colors of mists and distress inks. Flower is from prima and the flower with writing is a rub on.
Now for the next one if foe a challenge at Swirlydoos. This was also called Tag your it and we had to use a technique that we have never used before so the molding paste was new for me. So after this tag I am done with Christmas I believe!!
Also used the TH tattered tree die. I love that one. I followed his technique on enameling on the star and that is an awesome technique!!! Don't be afraid to try new things...it's so fun. Well thanks for stopping by..see you soon!!!

Happy New Year!!! More Grunge!!

Happy New Year everyone. Started out the year with  a Grunge post!! I made this mini for my DIL for Christmas. Picture is my  new Grand daughter who was born in Aug.
I made this for a challenge at Donna Salazar  Girly Grunge ning site!!! You should visit the site and see all the inspiration over there!! It's right up my alley with the distressing, inking and just all that good stuff.
We were to use denim on our project so I snuck in my closet and proceeded to find a pair of Hubby's jeans to cut up!!! I only put 1 pic in to show DIL and idea of what it will look like. I wanted her to be able to put her own pics in.
I used the Donna Salazar Rose Creations die and the Posey Patch die to make these flowers and I use a small length of pink chain for the center of one.
For the back cover I didn't want to put to much on since this would get the most worn out so I decided to do a collage of the different Antiquities paper line. Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate it. I hope 2012 is a great year for everyone!!!
