Welcome friends!!. I hope you are all having a great start to the week.
Here is a DT project for PaperHaus Magazine . If you have not yet been over to this magazine please visit. SO many talented people in it.
I had a request from my daughter that she would like a container to
keep her photos in so I decided to make a memory box. She "found" this box for me to cover for her. I kept
it really simple for she would be grabbing it and opening it a lot so
only decorated the top and 1 side.
I used papers from the Firefly
collection from Prima. I just love these papers!!!! This is the top and I
made the flowers, rolled the paper back, dyed the lace to match, and
added some bling and ribbon and one of those awesome Prima
Junkyard Findings.
This is the side and I made her a pocket to keep the tags I made for her in it. Little somethings to write down her memories!
These are the tags I made for her and the heart I made and painted with
some acrylic silk paints. They have such a shimmer.....love them!! That is my project for the day. I hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!!!!

The Paper Mixing Bowl reveal
Hello and welcome. This months recipe at The Paper Mixing Bowl is just so fun!!! Come on over and join us for a little corned beef and cabbage! Here is the recipe:
Here is what I cooked up.
What can I say I am not Irish. This is my take on the sketch and recipe. The recipe called for "wee" things so I made this layout an 8x8. Yep I did. For the Irish lace I used an iridescent medium and a mask. I stamped on my background, used mostly green and a key for me lucky charm!!! Well I hope you enjoyed this and hope to see you play along with us.

PaperHaus DT tutorial!!!
Hello, I am sharing a simple tag tutorial for you today. You can use
any tag die or even hand cut one. I also used a flower die and again any
flower die will do also, I did hand cut the leaves in different sizes. I
used the Sizzix-frame back, ornate #3. I love this die!!!!
So punch out your die and flower shapes. I used the Kaiserkraft "Pink Gelato" collection for the tag shape and white card stock for the flowers and leaves. These are the color stains I wanted to use.
Then spray your flowers and leaves so the stain blends better and always start with the lightest color first.
Here you can see I used the Spun Sugar first.
Hen I added The Lemonade stain and after that I added the Broken China. I used Peeled Paint for the leaves. Then while the flowers are damp I like to scrunch them up and shape the leaves some. Let them dry either by themselves or a heat gun.
Then after they are dry I like to unravel them and if they need it shape the petals a little. I also like to draw the veins on the leaves.
So when you are assembling the flowers always off set the petals. This
makes the flower look more realistic. I used a small sun punch for the
center and the added a pearl to the center of that. Then glue on the tag
and you are done. If you use light paper you can journal over the top
or you can add this to a card!!!
Here is the finished tag. So many possibilities!!! Have a great weekend and thank you for visiting!!!
