DT for The Paper Mixing Bowl

Hello and welcome!!! Here is The Paper Mixing Bowl new challenge for September!! This one was a lot of fun and challenging for me. We really didn't play games but did a lot of boating so thats what I went with. I loved working with these colors. So come on over and play with us!!
Here is the recipe card and then my layout!! I forgot to get close ups of it but it's ok. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Hello and thank you for stopping by. Here is another DT project using the Beautiful August kit "Butterfly Dreams" from Funtoolas this is such a beautiful kit to work with. I just love the colors and gorgeous embellies.

**FUNTOOLAS** August Kit Reveal!!!

Hello and welcome to the new August Kit from FUNTOOLAS called Butterfly Dreams!! Oh is this kit B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! The papers just go together so well and are a dream to work with!!! You will love them.
Here is a layout I did of my parents. My Dad was a master shipwright wooden boat builder and built most of the wooden sailing yachts that are still sailing on San Francisco Bay. The boat in the picture is one he helped design. She is a yankee design and her name is "The Flame"! Named after the flame my Dad held for my Mom. They built this boat together in the 1950's and she won many a races. She was a special part of my parents life. She is still sailing on the bay to this day!!!!

Here are some close ups. When I received my kit I just knew these papers would be perfect for this picture. Don't know if Dad would like the flowers on there, probably would of wanted some putty!!!

I made the flower from the papers in the kit, added the leaves and the beautiful white flowers are in the kit.

Hello and time for a new challenge at The Paper Mixing Bowl . This month we have cooked up a sensational recipe!!! Just look what we have...

So what are ya waiting for!! Get scrap cooking. This was a fun recipe to follow and I love the greens. Here is what I cooked:

These pictures were taken by my sweet friend ozmagi. I had the pleasure of meeting here when I was visiting Australia. Faye, Magi and I all got to scrap together and it was amazing. I am hoping one day they can make here to the US!!!
Now in my neck of the woods we frequently see deer....not in Aussie...you see Kangaroo's! It was awesome to see these beautiful animals hopping around. Australia was beautiful and there are more pics to come. Thanks a bunch for stopping by!

2 challenges done!

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I managed to get 2 challenges in one layout which makes me happy. I don't get a whole lot of time to scrap for my self. So the challenges are:

Swirlyhues

Berry71blue 

I  did a layout of my Mom from her 1st communion so this was in the early 1930's. I just love the clothes from that period. I used some Pion and Kasiercraft papers, handmade the big flower, and the wonderful embellies Krissy puts in a Swirlydoos kit.

I did want to thank all of you out there for all the inspiration I get from you. So thank you!!!

I used acrylic paint on the flower and stickles on the leaves. Did some fussy cutting and always use ink!!

Just another close up. I just love my Mom's hairdo. I think it is just beautiful. She looks so cute. Gosh I miss that woman!!!! Thank you for stopping by!
