Funtoolas October Kit Reveal

Hello and welcome! I have today my DT projects for the new October kit at Funtoolas . This kit has some gorgeous papers and boy there is a ton of this rich paper!!! With embellies to match you can't go wrong. I made a very simple layout and a card! Here are my projects!

I just did a very clean and simple design this time. This is my daughters quadrille team she was on like 5 years ago. She did this for 3 years and we did travel quite a bit to shows. They did really well and had fun doing it. I haven't thought of a title yet. One of my problem areas in scrapping!!

Now this is more like me. Like to get a little messy when I make something! Here is a card I made. I cut up the lace in the kit to make the flower and I just outlined the flower with a black pen. I stenciled the dragon fly in with gesso and the "hi" is from the alphas that came with the kit.

First DT project for PaperHaus!!

Hello and welcome!!! Well here is my first DT project for PaperHaus magazine. I am still thrilled and so excited to be on this fabulous Design Team. We had a sketch by Linda to work with. Usually I tend to start off with good intentions to follow and totally go another way so this was more on track with the sketch!

This is my grand daughter #2 On her first birthday party just a month ago. Here she was watching the big kids running around and just taking it all in. She is the sweetest little heart!!! Here are some close ups.

I absolutely LOVE those Prima zippers!!!! Who ever thought that one up was a genius!!!!

The Paper Mixing Bowl "Pumpkin Pie"

Hello and thanks for stopping by! This months recipe at The Paper Mixing Bowl is called "Pumpkin Pie". This was a lot of fun with the orange colors. Here is the recipe:

A bunch of yummy stuff to work with!!! Ok well here is what I came up with. Not to spooky with my Grand Daughter as she was a butterfly!!! I did the journaling around the spider web.

Here some close ups of the flowers. I used cheese cloth and the spellbinders Rose Creations by Donna Salazar.1 Love that die. Made the leaves .

That fence was given to me by Faye!!! Thanks Faye!The hand hold hers is mine, that is kinda creepy looking!!!

Introducing the PaperHaus Design Team!

**Funtoolas 2nd reveal!!!! "My friends"

Hi there and welcome!!! This Sept. kit from Funtoolas

called Country Charm just keeps going!! It was packed with these beautiful papers and so many embellies to work with. I have created another layout and a card lus I still have so much kit left to work with!! Here is my layout. I made for my Aussie friend and well it's for her Birthday so she is going to see it before she gets it.

And the hearts you see on the side of the picture I just cut out around the hearts I punched out to get the reverse effect.

Yes I do love to gesso things up. I try to leave them blank but just can't seem to stick with it!!!

Adding a little texture to our projects

Hello...I hope you are having a great weekend. I know there is texture tutorials out there but I thought I would share how I add mine sometimes. The supplies I used are gesso, paint brush and sheet rock net. I think that is what it's called. Here is a pic of what I used.

I first cut the "net" to a shape I liked then placed it on my project. This is really easy to do.

Then I started to add my gesso with the paint brush and be sure to leave the edges uneven.

So it looks like this.

Then you will slowly peel the net off.

And now you have some texture. You can use anything like this net stuff to get different results. The possibilities are endless!!

This is the layout I used this technique on...oh and after you peel the net off you can place it somewhere else on the paper and get the reverse effect. I did this in the top left hand corner. Thank you for stopping by!!
